IN THIS LESSON
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Today, we are going to explain to you how to create your own R.E.S.S.E.T Word and how this technique can help you, at your will, replace stressful moments with happy and joyful ones.
“You can change your present situation or better yet the course of your life with your words.” - Schmid Etienne, CEO & Co-Founder of R.E.S.S.E.T Studio
Have you ever smelt, saw, heard, felt or tasted something that instantly brought back memories and emotions of a past experience? Of course, you have. We all have! Could be the perfume of your high school sweetheart, the taste of your mom's cooking, or the feel of the blanky that kept you safe when you were little. All of these cues are important keys that can propel you out of this present moment and into feelings and emotions of a past memory, which at times can feel so real.
Words can be used the same way. Just like the sensory cues listed above, words can be associated or programmed to bring forth a specific memory that is attached to specific feelings and emotions (according to Endel Tulving’s Theory of Encoding Specificity).
Action:
Take 15 minutes to listen to this meditation on the right. This meditation is going to guide you to remember or create a joyful memory and show you how to attached this memory to a word. This word will become your R.E.S.S.E.T Word.
